Create a Fixed Line at a Chainage on Reference String

Create a fixed point at a specified chainage on a reference string. The line may also be rotated relative to the reference string.

The Fx Point is located at CH20 on the reference string.  An offset of 40m has been applied to shift the point off the reference string.

The Relative Start/End has been set to 50m/70m respectively.

The fixed line is then rotated 200 to the reference string.

Reference String

Select the string to reference.

Chainage

Chainage on the reference string at which the horizontal point will be created. This will auto-populate upon selecting the reference string, and can be edited manually.

Direction

Positive: The fixed line will have the same direction as the reference string.

Negative: The fixed line will be the opposite direction to the reference string.

The direction of the Fixed line is important, as it controls the way the new fixed line connects to other elements in the design.

Relative start

See Relative Start for more.

Relative end

See Relative End for more.

Rotation mode

Angle:  Rotate the line from the Bearing by a fixed angle.

1 in :  'Splay' the line relative to the Bearing, eg 1 in 10.

Rotation will be applied relative to the reference string.  That is, a rotation angle of 300 will create a line 300 to the reference string.

Rotation

Optional.  Enter the rotation value.  Leave blank to use the same rotation as the reference.

Offset

Optional. See Offset for more.
