I'd like to take apart a Gillette Super Adjustable

I have been on the hunt for some tips and tricks to dissembling a Gillette Super Adjustable without much luck. I did find this thread:

http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/46559-How-To-Late-Fatboy-and-Slim-disassembly

It had some helpful stuff but I was hoping to find a little more.

My end goal is to acquire my birth-quarter razor which is an F-3 Super Adjustable(or black handle super speed but I'd rather get the adjustable.) I have my eyes on one but I'm wondering how easy it would be to take apart and send off the doors and plate to get replated because they're bleh. This may not even be possible but I'd really like to try.

The problem is that the end of the stem is crimped in. 80s sa are the best shaving razors Gillette ever made, but you will have issues more annoying than appearances. The tto likes to lose it's quarter turn with some regularity and you have to soak and work it back into form. Incredibly frustrating. Probably from too many dissimilar metals acting upon one another. They can be a bigger pita than a vision.

I have managed to keep my SA's 1/4 turn in shape by treating regularly with WD40. Sorry I have no help for you on your disassembly issue. I haven't had to do that yet.

It can be done, but risky.http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/353601-Super-adjustable-maitenance

It can be done, very carefully. The crimp wont break.http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/151721-Gillette-Super-Adjustable-repair
