How to creating a string with Regular Chainage Intervals from an Existing String.
Steps to Accomplish
Option 1 - Interactively
Load the Convert to 6D Master String tool (MX>Modify>Edit Strings>Convert to 6D Master String).
To create a new string with Regular Chainage intervals you have to ensure to select the option for At Regular Chainage Points Only as highlighted above.
Option 2 - Line Mode
Linemode Minor Option 027 is the option for Convert to 6D Master String. The linemode options for that option are detailed below.
- Field 1 - Existing string label
- Field 2 - Code REGU to obtain regular chainage points only
- Field 3 - New M-string label. Initial character must be an M
- Field 4 - Chainage datum. Default 0.0
- Field 5 & 6 - SPRD for start point
- Field 7 - Chainage interval
- Field 8 & 9 - SPRD for end point
- Field 10 - Chord to arc tolerance
