What's so great about having a lot of performance when you are not able to enjoy it because of the small screen or the small battery?

This phone can only be called a success if it creates a dent in the marketshare of Android which I simply don't see happening. Apple marketshare has been declining steadily every year.

Again most of these paid reviewers are hiding the fact that it's a small 4.7 inch niche device which simply isn't meant for majority of users who are comfortable with the 6.5 inch average screen size offered by the Android world.

These same reviewers mention con's for Android phones when they miss out on SD card or something else but with Apple, guys like mkbhd simply turn a blind eye to these things.

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2020You don't understand why security updates and OS updates ar... moreUnless a group of hackers specifically target you using the security hole or vulnerability (if it exists) which is not fixed through a security patch, you have nothing to worry about. The likelihood of such a thing happening is 0.00001%.

So lack of security patches don't affect the end user in the real world.
Ppl and several businesses used Intel chipsets for years without issues despite the Spectre & Meltdown vulnerabilities. As I said, unless a team of hackers specifically target you exploiting that security loophole, you are safe.

Ppl continue to fall for marketing gimmicks where they feel if they don't have the latest security patch, they are vulnerable or worse the phone becomes unusable after 2 years. These are the same people that can be hacked using a simple phising link and they are worried about vulnerabilities in the system that are less likely a threat.

"You get what you pay for"
Yes slowed down cpu and battery degradation with updates, that's what you get by greedy companies like Apple.

And that for 400 dollars!

People who are attracted to this aren’t gullible, they use their common sense. Smartphones are getting way too expensive, way too big, and the cameras and software is not always reliable (especially in this price category). People buy Apple’s because it just works (and that is coming from a Samsung knight). Manufacturers tend to copy Apple, maybe they should also bring out reasonably priced and compact phones again.
