Statler and Waldorf deliver their own version of "Muppets Most Wanted."

Statler and Waldorf have long criticized the Muppets from the balcony of the theater.

Now the grumpy old men are working from the editing booth.

The duo exclusively released their version of Muppets Most Wanted. It's part of the bonus features on the Blu-Ray/DVD release (out Aug. 12).

It's Statler and Waldorf's way of protesting the version placed in theaters by director James Bobin.

"Sometimes Waldorf and I don't agree with these (editing) cuts," says Statler. "So we decided to comb through every inch of footage and put together our own version of the movie."

Here's a hint for the new version -- it's very short and features a lot of Statler and Waldorf.

Their review of their own Muppets Most Wanted version?

"It was still too long," says Waldorf.

"I'll say," adds Statler.
