Robert De Niro’s former assistant described her disgust at being asked to scratch his back, telling a courtroom in New York that he had told her: “I like it when you do it.”

Chase Robinson, 41, who has filed a $12 million lawsuit against De Niro for gender discrimination, told the court that she had pointed out a back scratcher that he could use.

“How did it make you feel when your boss told you that he liked the way that you scratched his back?” her lawyer, Brent Hannafan, asked.

“It was creepy,” she said. “It’s just disgusting.”

De Niro, 80, who gave evidence on Tuesday, acknowledged making the request but became enraged when it was raised by another of her lawyers, saying: “It
