Golden Chanterelle (Cantharellus cibarius)

Golden Chanterelle (Cantharellus cibarius) is a European strain. They are smaller in size to their North American cousins but are considered superior by many. They are firm, meaty, golden mushrooms. Their sturdy texture makes them exceptionally versatile with an earthy, peppery flavor offset by a sweet, fruity undertone often compared to apricots.

Chanterelles cannot be grown indoors, they are mycorrhizal and must form a relationship with conifer trees. Use this liquid culture to create grain spawn and bury it in holes near Conifer trees. If conditions are favorable you may have beautiful and delicious chanterelles the next season. It can sometimes take years or even decades for chanterelles to establish.
