Some people may consider Monday's solar eclipse to be once-in-a-lifetime, but Twilight fans know that it's really just one of many important astronomical events that millennials have witnessed... including a New Moon, a Breaking Dawn, and, yes, even another Eclipse.

Twi-hards picked up on the fact that today's interplanetary event is the thing that the third movie in the Twilight series is named after (that would be Eclipse), and have taken to Twitter to make the same hilarious joke about it, BuzzFeed discovered. And honestly, the tweets are just too good.
"Why is everyone freaking out about eclipse ... twilight, new moon, and breaking dawn deserve to be talked about too ... please consider this," wrote one user. "Why y'all talking about Eclipse so much, everyone agrees it was the worst in the series ... nothing compared to breaking dawn or twilight," joked another. Many took the opportunity to reopen the Edward vs. Jacob argument, wondering if today's IRL eclipse will give them a different outcome than the Eclipse installment of the Twilight movies.
