Iontophoresis is the process of dispensing a drug or soluble salt into the body of a patient through the power of electrical current. The upgraded ActivaDose II utilizes two controls to efficiently adjust dose and current, as well as a high-contrast display to indicate dose, time, and current for maximum adjustment to the comfort and needs of each patient. Visual indicators and audible alerts ensure maximum control of resistance limit, dose, current limits, and electrode reject, while automatic time calculations recalculates the dose and current settings when changed, paused, or restarting to ensure constant accuracy and ease of use through each administration. Automatic current ramp-up and ramp-down provide maximum comfort for patients, ensuring a controlled drug release without full impact at once.
