Vintage Marcel Breuer for Thonet B12 Bauhaus Console Side Table Wooden Tubular Chromed Steel Modernist Functional Minimalist Retro Antique - Etsy

This console table, model B12, was designed by Marcel Breuer in 1928. It features two wooden ledges supported by a frame of continuous tubular steel. The concept for Breuer's tubular design was to make furniture that would not only fit modern architecture, but have functionality as well. This table is a prime example of this approach.

Origin: produced by Thonet in the 1930s.

Condition: in very good vintage shape. The wooden shelves have no marks or cracks, just some faint discolouration towards the sides for the top shelf and a couple of small scratches and dents along the edges of the bottom shelf. Overall the tubular frame is in excellent condition with minimal marks and no signs of rust. The entire structure is stable.
