A brand new freshwater Snail for us and also a very new addition to the hobby, the Spiny Trumpet Snail (Thiara Winteri). These guys are so new that there is not much information out there about them. I can tell you we have a few in a Plant display tank in the office and they seem to thrive on any extra food that falls to the bottom, shrimp pellets or algae wafers. They actually sift through the sand and burrow down about 1/4 inch as well as climb the glass. We have them mixed with Crystal Shrimp and Blue Berry Shrimp and they seem to get along fine as well as not eating any of the plants. I think a very cool new snail that will get very popular based upon what they are doing in our own plant tank........<“(((((><
