The information provided to the exporting producer was meaningful and offered it the possibility to understand the methodology used in line with the provisions of Article 2 of the basic Regulation.

The scope of application of this Directive has been extended to claims relating to certain taxes.30 Article 4 of the Directive provides that “at the request of the applicant authority, the requested authority shall provide any information which would be useful to the applicant authority in the recovery of its claim.

Ultimately, the issue is to channel all ICT potential into ensuring a better form of government that is more efficient and closer to the people and which delivers useful and high-quality digital services, bringing individuals and businesses into the information society.

In order for the internal market to operate with increasing effectiveness and for citizens of the Union to be afforded adequate levels of transparency, it is necessary that competent authorities disclose publicly and in a way which allows for meaningful comparison the manner in which the requirements of this Directive are implemented.

We trust this information will be helpful for the European Parliament for its consideration of the draft amendment to Article 136 TFEU with regard to a stability mechanism for Member States whose currency is the euro.

It is limited to proposing the exchange of information, which is no doubt highly useful, for the period 2000-2006.

They shall exchange all information regarding the suitability of shareholders and the reputation and experience of directors that is of relevance to the other competent authorities involved, for the granting of an authorisation as well as for the ongoing assessment of compliance with operating conditions.

In particular, young people who do not or cannot become mobile through programmes such as Erasmus, Comenius or Leonardo within the context of formal education need a change to gain useful experience of intercultural dialogue, and there needs to be more recognition of the role and importance of informal education in this respect.
