In order to promote the supply of cereals to the Community market during the 2007/2008 marketing year, Council Regulation (EC) No 1/2008 of 20 December 2007 temporarily suspending customs duties on imports of certain cereals for the 2007/2008 marketing year (2 ) suspended those duties until 30 June 2008, whilst providing for the possibility of reintroducing them in the event of disruption or threatened disruption on the Community market.

Commission Regulation (EC) No 638/2003 of 9 April 2003 laying down detailed rules for applying Council Regulation (EC) No 2286/2002 and Council Decision 2001/822/EC as regards the arrangements applicable to imports of rice originating in the African, Caribbean and Pacific States (ACP States) and the overseas countries and territories (OCT) (4 ) has been substantively amended since its adoption.

Commission Regulation (EU) No 206/2010 of 12 March 2010 laying down lists of third countries, territories or parts thereof authorised for the introduction into the European Union of certain animals and fresh meat and the veterinary certification requirements (3 ) repealed and replaced Council Decision 79/542/EEC of 21 December 1976 drawing up a list of third countries or parts of third countries, and laying down animal and public health and veterinary certification conditions, for importation into the Community of certain live animals and their fresh meat (4 ).

The provisions of this Directive concerning the admission of instruments to trading under the rules enforced by the regulated market should be without prejudice to the application of Directive 2001/34/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 May 2001 on the admission of securities to official stock exchange listing and on information to be published on those securities (1 ).

Council Regulation (EC) No 974/98 of 3 May 1998 on the introduction of the euro (4 ) provides for the substitution of the euro for the currencies of the Member States which fulfilled the necessary conditions for the adoption of the single currency at the time when the Community entered the third stage of economic and monetary union.

It is desirable to complete by means of an Additional Protocol the Europe Agreement establishing an association between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Hungary, of the other part (1 ), so as to provide for preferential conditions for the importation into the Community of certain fish and fishery products originating in the Republic of Hungary, and into the Republic of Hungary of certain fish and fishery products originating in the Community.

Commission Regulation (EC) No 2375/2002 (5 ) opens a tariff quota for the import of 2 981 600 tonnes of low and medium quality common wheat from third countries, including 572 000 tonnes for imports originating in the United States of America and 38 000 tonnes for imports originating in Canada.

Where computers on which operating systems installed by the seller are imported, must the value of the software made available to the seller by the buyer free of charge be added to the transaction price of those computers pursuant to Article 32(1)(b) of the Community Customs Code (1 ) where the value thereof is not included in the transaction price?

Council Directive 72/462/EEC of 12 December 1972 on health and veterinary inspection problems upon importation of bovine, ovine and caprine animals and swine, fresh meat or meat products from third countries (6 ) lays down animal health requirements for the importation into the Community of certain meat products.

The entry price of fruit and vegetables into the Community is determined on the basis of the standard import value of fruit and vegetables referred to in Article 4(1) of Commission Regulation (EC) No 3223/94 of 21 December 1994 on detailed rules for the application of the import arrangements for fruit and vegetables (3 ).

Following the introduction of the support scheme for sugar into the single payment scheme, Commission Regulation (EC) No 796/2004 (2 ) needs to be amended in several respects, in particular with regard to the application procedure and the control measures to be carried out with regard to that aid scheme.

Commission Regulation (EU) No 206/2010 (2 ) lays down the veterinary certification requirements for the introduction into the Union of certain consignments of live animals or fresh meat.

The proposal for a Directive on ship-source pollution and on the introduction of sanctions, including criminal sanctions, for pollution offences,4 constitutes a first fundamental stage in this respect.

In view of the risks of virus introduction, several fora have focused on the need to raise awareness and reinforce controls on the imports of products of animal origin by travellers (1 ).

Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2973/79 of 21 December 1979 laying down detailed rules for the application of granting of assistance for the export of beef and veal products which may benefit from a special import treatment in a third country (3 ) has been substantially amended several times (4 ).

The title and Annex II of Commission Regulation (EC) No 1599/97 of 28 July 1997 laying down detailed rules for the application of the system of minimum import prices for certain soft fruits originating in Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and the Czech Republic (5 ) contain references to several new Member States.

Commission Decision 2004/211/EC of 6 January 2004 establishing the list of third countries and parts of territory thereof from which Member States authorise imports of live equidae and semen, ova and embryos of the equine species (6 ) provides that Member States are to authorise the temporary admission and importation of registered horses from the third countries of parts of those third countries listed in Annex I thereto.

Article 4 of the draft order lays down provisions on the introduction and continuation of organic farming methods, in compliance with the conditions laid down in the operational programme for the region of Calabria approved by the Commission (11 ).
