In a recent interview with Men’s Non-No the producer of Bleach, Yoshihiko Tominaga, disclosed that Studio Pierrot is launching a new studio ‘Pierrot Films’.
By launching the new sub-brand, Studio Pierrot, known for long-running series like Naruto and Bleach, is making a strategic shift, acknowledging the evolving anime landscape and the growing demand for high-quality, shorter-season anime, a trend Pierrot hasn’t always embraced as effectively as other studios.
Tominaga revealed that while the studio excels at long-term productions, it hasn’t always kept pace with the trend of shorter, impactful series like Jujutsu Kaisen. To adapt to this changing audience preference Pierrot Films will focus on producing such projects, starting with the highly anticipated Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War.

It takes some authors decades to realize how to end their stories, while others know the ending from the very beginning; Tite Kubo falls in one of those categories. Endings and beginnings are two of the most complicated parts of a story, parts that if failed, would cause chaos or even failure of the projects that many put their hopes and dreams in.

This makes it no surprise as to why his magnum opus is also amongst the big three shonen manga. Throughout the course of the series, there were many characters introduced as the arcs went on.

5 Best Bleach Characters — An Assortment of Unforgettable Protagonists and Villains(Photo Credit –IMDb)
“Bleach” features several exciting characters with quirks and traits. However, there are some among them who particularly stand out.
2023 marked a good year for the anime “Bleach,” following the release of its sequel, “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War,” which adapted the final arc of the manga. The manga (and its anime) was trendy way before the release of the “Bleach” sequel and is considered one of the signature mainstream anime that shaped the industry. It was right up there with some other big names like “Naruto,” “One Piece,” “Fairy Tail,” “Dragon Ball,” and “My Hero Academia.”
“Bleach” follows Ichigo Kurosaki, a high school student who discovers he has the powers of a Grim Reaper (known as Soul Reaper in the anime). These powers allow him to see and combat evil souls (Hollow). Subsequently, they entail a lot of...

On one hand, while a number of animators and staff members from the anime industry have sternly spoken against the use of AI, anime directors Keiichi Hara and Tomohisa Taguchi, who are veterans in their own right, had an entirely different opinion regarding it.
As reported by Full Frontal, both Hara and Taguchi, who were talking at a panel at this year’s Annecy Festival, believed that AI, which doesn’t complain, get tired or sleep, could be a good tool to replace “lazy animators” and do the work in their place.
This opinion has stirred various sections of fandom, who believed that the directors shouldn’t have made such a comment in light of the recent developments.
Hara was talking about the difficulties of making animated feature films, when the topic shifted to lazy animators “who are being paid without putting in the work that’s expected of them.

Voices That Bring Anime to Life: Celebrating the Best Anime Voice Actors of All Time ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
Japan takes its anime voice actors very seriously to the point where they have special voice acting academies and schools to train them to master their art completely. This is exactly why these professionals are so versatile and have such natural, golden voices. In fact, a large number of avid anime fans prefer watching anime subs rather than anime dubs exactly because of this. Some Dub actors tend to exaggerate and overact as a way to compensate for the inconsistency in translations and syncing. Native voice actors retain the ‘authenticity’ that dubs lack.
The authenticity of the subs is attributed to the voice actors’ talent and how natural they are with their jobs. Here are some of the best Japanese anime voice actors of all time.

We might be entering the dog days of summer but Hulu isn’t slowing down. The streamer’s list of new releases for August 2023 is a pretty impressive collection of content.
The biggest Hulu original this month is season 3 of true crime comedy Only Murders in the Building on Aug. 8. This time around Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd are joining the already-stacked cast that features Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. This season’s central murder appears to take place at a theater (outside the building) but I think we’ll let it slide.
That’s far from the only worthwhile original in August as Aug. 2 sees the premiere of the third and final season of superb comedy Reservation Dogs. That will be followed by South Korean sci-fi series Moving on Aug. 9, Solar Opposites season 4 on Aug. 14, and A Murder at the End of the World on Aug. 29. Of course,...

Saudi-owned Mbc Group, which is the top broadcaster in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena), is boosting anime offerings on its Shahid streaming platform by ordering up a slew of new content from several Japanese studios.
Reflecting a strong appetite for anime across the region – especially in Saudi, where Toei Animation’s “One Piece Film: Red,” shot to the top of the box office last month – Mbc has extended its partnership with Toei to add more episodes of its “One Piece” TV series, the original iconic pirate adventure story written by Eiichiro Oda.
Mbc has also snapped up exclusive rights in Mena to TV Tokyo’s “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War,” the 52-episode Japanese anime TV series that is a sequel of the “Bleach” manga series by Tite Kubo. “Bleach,” which returns following an eight-year hiatus, will drop on Shahid day-and-date with Japan and the U.S.

In February of this year Hulu unleashed the true crime limited series “Pam & Tommy.” The Emmy-nominated series prompted audiences to look at the nature of celebrity culture, misogyny, and complicity in the wake of the infamous 1990s sex tape that shaped the internet. This month Robert Siegel, one-half of the creative team that brought “Pam & Tommy” to screens, returns with a similar true-life story: “Welcome to Chippendales.”
“Welcome to Chippendales” follows Somen “Steve” Banerjee’s (Kumail Nanjiani) rise and fall in the adult entertainment industry. Matt Shakman directs the series, with Nanjiani, his wife Emily V. Gordon, co-showrunner and writer Siegel, co-showrunner Jenni Konner, and writer Rajiv Joseph among the executive producers.
Per the official synopsis, the sprawling true crime saga “Welcome to Chippendales” tells the outrageous true story of Banerjee, an Indian immigrant who became the unlikely founder of the world’s greatest male-stripping empire. The series...
