[close] Hi hi hi, welcome:) So I have decided to set up this club to promote the works of some well known and some lesser known female writers set in the 18th and 19th century. I won’t read anything without romance but refuse to read any contemporary writers of historical romance anymore who follow the same boring formula. I am aware that not ALL writers do this but in my experience the outliers are few and far between. So I have turned to the classics or rather the originals who have all the brilliant tropes that we all love reading and in them are also guaranteed to find beautiful writing. The type of people who belong in this group: Those who have ever frustratingly stormed away from their mortal enemy not knowing that he follows your figure with adoring eyes. Those that after pensive thought have realised that they did indeed love him and have no choice now but to retreat to the shade of a cherry blossom or the bank of a secluded river to privately sob their broken heart out. Those who have made the dire mistake of accepting a name on their dance card that has the potential to blacken their own name by association. Those who have been introduced to society in last seasons dress whilst enduring the snide remarks by her fellow debuatants. Those who have arrived early to the ball and took the opportunity to spin in their new ball gown across the polished wood whilst her future husband watches from above with a smirk on his face.
