With a passion for design, Paola Navone graduated from the Turin Politecnico in Architecture, in 1973. That’s where her career started, soon working alongside Alessandro Mendini, Ettore Sottsass Jr. and Andrea Branzi in the Alchimia group, a wonderful opportunity to be part of a progressive team on the Italian design scene. She was already set to become one of the greatest.
With her being a part of the Alchimia group, she quickly developed a taste and sense of style when it came to avant garde, becoming more and more progressive and finding her own creativity and inspiration, gaining her the prestigious Osaka International Design Award, bestowed for the first time that year, in 1983.

She finds inspiration and interest in different cultures, particularly the oriental ones, and with all her travel experience, she is able to take that knowledge and insert it into her work. It’s not just Paola Navone that crosses borders and boundaries, but also her creative and stunning work.
In her long career she has switched between the roles of architect, designer, art director, interior designer, critic, teacher and organiser of exhibitions and events, both independently and for select clients such as Armani Casa, Knoll International, Alessi, Piazza Sempione, Casamilano, Molteni, Natuzzi, Roche Bobois and Swarovski, showcasing her versatility and always present passion and creativity.
“Ephemeral” and poetic… these are the words to describe Paola Navone‘s work, a product of her avant garde and incredible imagination. We’re sure that such inspiring designs will go down in history next to some of the greatest names in the design world.
