    DO NOT BUY

    This product is useless. Its outdated and not compatible with more of the new channel apps like SlingTv or HBO. In fact, it will not even bring you to the home screen to give you those options. SHAME on any merchant still attempting to sell these because they're already aware its NO GOOD. I got burned by the person who sold it to me, as they only issued partial refund because of shipping price. DO NOT BUY***********

    Nice streaming media player, expecially for Netflix

    This media player does a good job. Netflix, hulu and lots of other internet TV. Many free and plenty of PAY as well. Perform well so far. Video is good. I got this mainly for Netflix and to see what Roku was all about without buying the latest model. Plus this one has RCA and Composite / SVideo outputs! The new HDMI ones do not. The remote is simple and is quick to respond! Well laid out menu and easy navigation.

    Works well enough

    I placed this unit in the same spot where another n1101 was. The other unit had no problems with wireless connectivity. This unit has difficulty maintaining a wireless connection.

    ROKU N1101 XR DIGITAL HD MEDIA STREAMER OLD TV SUPPORT

    This Roku N1101 is an older box that supports all TVs. Of you have an old TV, you need a box like this one. The Roku 2 only supports HDMI connectivity. They also do not seem to have a USB connection like this one does. You can use a search engine and find a chart for all Roku boxes before you buy a certain box. I decided on the XR for all of it's options on my old TV.

    roku and netflix saved me 100 dollars off cable bill a month

    I wanted to cut my cable bill down and still be able to watch movies. I turned off cable and bought a digital receiver and indoor antenna for local channels. I bought this roku unit to watch movies on. I get Netflix and hulu plus and that has plenty of movies and series to watch. new movies come out every month. I thought my old one fried and threw it away to be replaced by this one. come to find out the power cord needed to be replaced. I have saved 100 a month by not watching cable but the roku box instead. it is an easy install with a switchbox to switch between on air and roku box.
