in 1923, manufactured by Gerard van de Groenekan, Netherlands, c. 1965, red, white, black, yellow, and blue lacquered wood and laminated wood, two factory marks: H. G. M./ G. A. v. d. GROENEKAN/DE BILT NEDERLAND and [...] d. GROENEKAN/DE BILT NEDERLAND, height approx. 60 cm, approx. 50 x 50 cm. (DRAX)
Originally designed for House Schröder in Utrecht, which had been built by Rietveld, this side table is composed of five geometric elements and painted in primary colours, based on the principles of the De Stijl movement.
