The exhibition “Archizoom Associati 1966-1974: de la vague pop à la surface neutre”, showing until November 30 at the gallery at the École Polytechnique Fédérale at Lausanne, represents the first critical appraisal of one of the crucial experiences in so called “Radical Architecture”, that of the Archizoom, established in 1966 by Andrea Branzi, Gilberto Corretti, Paolo Deganello, Massimo Morozzi and later Lucia and Dario Bartolini.

With developmental and working drawings, models and documents mainly lent by the Centro Studi e Archivio della Comunicazione in Parma, the exhibition curated by Roberto Gargiani follows the work of Archizoom starting with the early experiences at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence up until design projects for clothing, to which an entire section is dedicated that brings together studies, prototypes and films made for the Triennale in Milan in 1973. A series of conferences will also be held to coincide with the exhibition. Both in November, Konstantin Grcic on the 15 and Ronan Bouroullec the 22. Gargiani has also edited the first monograph on Archizoom, published by Electa Mondadori in various languages which will come out at the same time as the exhibition opens (Archizoom Associati: 1966 - 1974, edited by Roberto Gargiani. Electa Mondadori, 2007). Giulia Guzzini
