The World Customs Organisation (WCO) announced that His Excellency Customs President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa had won unopposed the position of the Chairperson of WCO council during the virtual extraordinary session 137 of the WCO council held from December 10 to 12 with the participation of 183 member countries.
On this occasion, Shaikh Ahmed congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He stressed that the winning reflected the endless support by the wise government to Bahrainis.
He expressed his gratitude for the international achievement as part of the prestigious global position of Bahrain and the support of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa provide to the Customs Affairs.
