Why You Can Trust CNET Best Google Pixel Deals: Save Up to $1K With Trade-In, New Line or Installment Plan
With so many Google Pixel phones out there now, there's a deal for nearly every model and budget. Act now to snag these deals.
When you're in the Android ecosystem, Google Pixel phones are among the best smartphones you can buy in 2024. The Pixel lineup is already more affordable compared with top-of-the-line offerings from Apple and Samsung, but we've found deals to help save you even more -- and in some cases, even get your new Google Pixel phone for (almost) free.
Whether you need the latest and greatest Pixel 8 Pro, the versatile Pixel Fold or a more affordable model, such as the Pixel 7A or the previous-gen Pixel 6A, you don't have to overspend. We've laid out the top deals below. However, if you see a deal you want to take advantage of, be quick about it. Phone carriers and other retailers offering discounts on phones and accessories can change these prices at their discretion and without notice.

Pixel 8 and 8 Pro deals
Released in late 2023, the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are the latest phones in Google's flagship lineup. They're equipped with a next-gen Tensor G3 processor, new AI features and improved screens. You have a few ways to buy one for less right now.
Just note that in our ongoing review of the Pixel 8 Pro, CNET uncovered some camera problems that we felt were serious enough to warrant holding off on recommending the phone. Google says it's working to quickly solve these issues via a software update, and we're confident that it will. We had no such problems with the Pixel 8 and rated it highly.
Amazon is currently selling the 128GB Google Pixel 8 for $626, down from $699. Right now, phones in the color Obsidian are available at this price, a $73 savings. There are small discounts on the 256GB Pixel 8 right now. If you buy it in Hazel, you'll pay $749, a discount of $10.
You can also save up to $260 with Amazon's trade-in program.
Google is offering direct discounts in the form of money back in bill credits. You can get up to $699 back for a Pixel 8 when you join Google Fi Wireless. For a Pixel 8 Pro, you can get up to $700 back when you switch to Google Fi. Google also accepts trade-ins and requires you to answer a few questions, so your discount will vary depending on your phone make, model and condition. At the time of writing, trade-in values started at $255 for Google Pixel Pro 7 phones with 512GB storage. Google One members can also get up to 3% cash back.
AT&T is offering savings on Pixel phones purchased on an installment plan. Score the Google Pixel 8 Pro for $0 a month by trading in an eligible device with a trade-in value of up to $1,040. You must also switch to an eligible unlimited data plan.
The Pixel 8 128GB will cost you $11 a month, but you can get savings of up to $400 in the form of bill credits over 36 months, with no trade-in required. The Pixel 8 256GB will get you a credit of $504 and still costs $11 a month. AT&T is also throwing in a free Pixel Watch 2 with any Pixel 8 series phone, as long as you also open a qualifying line.
When you add a new line at Verizon on any 5G Unlimited plan, you can get the Pixel 8 for free. Alternatively, you can save up to $800 with a trade-in if you're an existing customer who qualifies for an upgrade.
If you prefer the Pixel 8 Pro, you can get up to $1,000 off with a new line and trade-in of the same brand (any model, any condition). Or add a new line on the Unlimited Ultimate plan and you can get up to $820 in promo credit, in the form of bill credits over 36 months. If you want to upgrade, Verizon is offering $200 off, no trade-in or new line required.
Verizon also has a few bonus offers. You can get $400 cash back on the Google Pixel Watch 2 with your phone purchase. This will appear as a bill credit on your statements for the next 36 months. Other perks include $550 off a Galaxy Tab S9 FE 5G, but note that you'll need to add a new line for this discount. Qualifying customers can also get a free Amazon Fire TV 65-inch Omni series 4K TV (through July 3). Finally, you can also get the Disney Bundle for free for up to six months with a qualifying phone plan.
T-Mobile customers on a Go5G Plus or Go5G Next plan can get $800 off either model with an eligible trade-in or a new line of service. That gets you the Pixel 8 for free and the 8 Pro for $200.
If you're on a different qualifying service plan, you can still save up to $600 with a trade-in. This discount is applied as bill credits over 24 months. Note that both of these phones are back-ordered at T-Mobile right now, but these are great deals if you're willing to wait a bit.
Best Buy currently has no straightforward discounts on Pixel 8 series phones, but you can get up to $325 trade-in credit on unlocked models through their trade-in program. You also get one month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for free and three months of Google One (100GB storage) with either Pixel phone.
If you want the Verizon model, you can get up to $800 in credit for a trade-in on the Pixel 8. Alternatively, you can snag a Pixel 8 Pro for up to $400 off, or $11 per month for 36 months.
If the Pixel 8 Pro is what you're after, there's now a promo at Spectrum giving $450 off. The Pixel 8 is $275 off. Plus, you can get an extra $100 off when you bring in a qualifying device and purchase and activate either the 8 Pro or the 8.
Mint Mobile is currently offering the Pixel 8 for $180 off, bringing the price down to $609. The Pixel 8 Pro is a staggering $440 off, bringing the total down to just $649. For either of these phones, you'll get six months of free wireless when you sign up for a six-month plan or longer.
Target currently has no straightforward discounts on the Pixel 8. However, Target Circle cardholders get 5% off the listed price. Target currently stocks only 128GB models online.
Pixel 8A deals
AT&T is now offering new and existing customers the Google Pixel 8A for just $5.99 per month or for a one-time payment of $519.99.
Pixel 7 and 7 Pro deals
The previous-gen Pixel 7 and 7 Pro hit shelves in October 2022, so you'll find them in stock and available at most major retailers and carriers. Whether you're looking for an unlocked model, have an older device to trade in or need a new service plan through a carrier, several offers are available to you.
There are no straightforward discounts on the Google Pixel 7 or 7 Pro through Google right now, but you can trade in your old phone from Google, Apple, Samsung and other brands for up to $450 off (with the latest iPhones netting you the biggest discount).
AT&T isn't offering comprehensive deals on the Pixel 7 right now, but if you're looking to trade in your old Apple, Samsung or Google phone, you can save up to $465. Newer models (especially iPhones) earn the highest trade-in value. Right now, AT&T isn't carrying the 7 Pro.
Amazon has some bigger discounts on the Pixel 7 right now, with some variations up to 36% off the list price. Keep in mind the deals vary a lot based on the color and storage configurations, so be sure to check all the options to zero in on the version you want. Right now, the Pixel 7 128GB is marked down to $400, a $200 savings. The 256GB version is marked down at $450, which saves you $250. You can save up to an additional $260 with a qualifying trade-in device.
The Pixel 7 Pro is a little harder to find, but we've spotted a deal on Amazon for the 7 Pro 128GB version in Hazel discounted by 45%. That brings the price down to $480, a savings of $420. As always with Amazon, grab the deal while you can because prices and stock can fluctuate.
Although Verizon is no longer carrying the Pixel 7 Pro, the Pixel 7 is still available. Though there are no direct discounts, you can get up to $550 off a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE 5G with the purchase of a Pixel phone if you purchase a new line for this tablet. You can also get up to $400 back on any Pixel Watch 2 as credits in your bill.
Mint is having a limited-time offer where if you buy six months of service you get six months for free. Both phones are in stock but available only in a locked model.
Pixel 7A deals

CNET's Lisa Eadicicco reviewed the budget-friendly Pixel 7A and found it has many of the same features as the Pixel 7, saying that "it has the same Tensor G2 processor as the Pixel 7, a new 64-megapixel main camera and a 6.1-inch screen just like its predecessor." It's available at a lower base price than the other models in the Pixel 7 lineup.
There are no discounts on the Pixel 7A at Google right now. However, Google's trade-in program offers up to $496, although you'll likely get much less than that for an average phone. That said, you could potentially trade in certain phones and get the 7A for almost free.
Best Buy isn't currently offering discounts on the Google Pixel 7A, but you can trade in a device to save a good amount off the standard price. While technically you can get up to $755, with iPhones netting you the most back, your trade-in amount can't exceed the value of the Pixel 7A, so you'll have to see how much your trade-in would be worth. You can also save if you buy open-box phones, but availability varies by location.
The purchase also comes with one free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, three free months of Google One and three free months of YouTube Premium (for new subscribers).
AT&T doesn't have a discount on the Pixel 7A but you can potentially get trade-in credit.
You can trade in a qualifying device and get an instant savings of $100 if you purchase and activate a new 7A.
Verizon isn't offering discounts on the Pixel 7A right now. However, you can get up to $220 off the Google Pixel Watch 2 with your phone purchase, or up to $550 off a Galaxy Tab S9 FE 5G.
Target isn't offering any discounts on the Pixel 7A. However, Target Circle card holders can save 5%.
Pixel Fold deals
Samsung's new generation of Z-series foldable phones has some competition from Google. The Pixel Fold is Google's very first foldable device and features a 5.8-inch cover screen, a 7.6-inch OLED internal screen, 12GB of RAM, a Tensor G2 processor and an intimidating $1,799 starting price, although you can get your hands on one for less with the trade-in offers below.
Google isn't currently offering any big discounts on the Pixel Fold, but you can save up to $435 with trade-in credit for an eligible device. Google One members are also eligible for a 3% cash-back on this purchase. This is credited to your account. Google also offers anyone who buys the Fold three free months of YouTube Premium and six months of Google One.
AT&T is offering up to $1,124 in bill credits with a trade-in, the purchase of the new phone and a qualifying plan. You can also get $400 in credits on a Pixel Watch 2, which nets you this smartwatch for free with a qualifying Unlimited plan.
Both new and existing Verizon customers can save on the Pixel Fold right now. If you're adding a new line of service and you have an eligible trade-in, you can save up to $1,000. If you're already a Verizon customer who qualifies for an upgrade, you can save up to $800 when you trade in an eligible device.
Verizon is also offering some other bonuses, including $150 off a Pixel Watch 2, but you'll need a new line of service for the smartwatch as well. You can also get an Amazon Fire TV 65-inch Omni Series 4K with purchase, valid until April 30.
Get an instant savings of $100 when you get the Pixel Fold, activate it and trade in a qualifying device.
Pixel 6A deals
CNET's Lisa Eadicicco originally called Google's affordable Pixel 6A the "best Android phone under $500." It's slightly smaller than the full-size Pixel 7 and has a 6.1-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 60Hz. It's equipped with 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM -- slightly less than the standard Pixel 7, but still more than sufficient for most people. It also boasts 5G capabilities and support for Wi-Fi 6 for fast browsing. After the release of the Pixel 7A, Google dropped the starting price by $100, so it's already a solid value at just $349.
Right now, discounts are few and far between, and the phone is largely out of stock. Still, we've collected the best deals we can find below.
Amazon is offering some modest discounts on unlocked Pixel 6A models. Depending on the color you choose, you can save up to $150.
Verizon is offering the Google Pixel 6A for the standard retail price, but you can get some trade-in credit. Plus, you can get up to $400 back in the form of bill credits if you want to add a Google Pixel Watch 2. You can also score $550 off a Galaxy Tab S9 FE 5G. If you want these discounts, you'll need to get a line and qualifying plan for these devices.
Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro deals
The previous-gen Pixel 6 is over two years old, so new models are scarcer than before. If you're committed to snagging one of these older flagship phones, Amazon still has a few available that you can pick up for hundreds less than the original price. Google no longer carries the Pixel 6 (though it still has the 6A), and most retailers and carriers have shifted their offers over to the newer Pixel 7 or Pixel 8 models, so deals are more limited. You can find limited stock of the Pixel 6 at AT&T, as well as Verizon.
Amazon still has some previous-gen Pixel 6 phones that you can pick up. Prices are extremely volatile right now, and stocks are low, but there's potential for some big savings. Right now, a 128GB Pixel 6 Pro is currently listed at $438 if you buy it in Cloudy White, which is half off the asking price of $900. That's a discount of $461.
While the 6 and 6 Pro are currently available at Verizon, availability is limited. However, if you do find one near you, you may qualify for up to $400 in cash back on a Google Pixel Watch 2 in the form of bill credits with the purchase of a Google Pixel 6 or 6 Pro. You can also score up to $550 off a Galaxy Tab S9 FE 5G. You can snag deals on these accessories with the purchase of a separate line.
