A: AnswerHi there, A subscription is not required for the Blink video doorbell. A subscription is only required if you wish to use cloud storage for the video files. The other storage option would be to use a Sync Module 2 along with your doorbell, and plug a USB flash drive into the Sync Module 2. A: AnswerNo but it puts itself into "event response" meaning that it only records motion or records when the button is pressed. This is because the doorbell at idle when just on battery isnt constantly connected to the internet for battery saving puropses. A: AnswerI've had the ring doorbell first generation and 3rd generation they work great but the thing I didn't like about Ring doorbell is the time it took to retrigger another motion alert I purchase the blink doorbell and loved it much better than ring doorbell the retrigger time for a motion is only like 10 seconds for the blink doorbell I would definitely recommend blink doorbell over the ring doorbell before you purchase the blink doorbell you may need to buy they're sync modular for the blink camera system I've already had one so I'm not for sure if the doorbell works without one also if you have any blink security cameras they also have an accessory flood light that works great with the outdoor camerasAnswered by Bigala592

The best purchase in 2024
At first i was sceptical about buying this product because of the price because it was only $35 bucks thinking it might not be having all those bells and whistles of a smart camera system but i was amused. This has all the features what you woukd expect from an expensive security system like 1080p video, night vision, smartphone connectivity and most important was motion detection. This was easy installation as it supports battery connection. I also connected it to the Alexa echo dot which is awesome because the announcement is loud inside the house. Overall this is a bang for the buck.

Satisfied Customer
I love the Blink Doorbell camera. I also have blink minis inside my home and Blink outdoor cameras. They’re so easy to install and easy to maintain. The picture quality is really good too. I recommend. I switched over from ADT and I am saving tons of money and stress. The app is easier to navigate and faster than ADT.

Very good working electronic
I had no issues installing this. I have an old door bell and it rings it perfectlly with this blink video door bell. Motion detection picks up before pereon gets to door.
