This 14-year-old broke out onto the big screen among vampires and werewolves as the central figure in the The Twilight Saga's finale.
Not a shabby start. Foy had the key role of Bella and Edward's vampire baby, Renesmee, in what was considered a global phenomenon. Well, among the Twihards, that is.
SPACE TALK
Foy can be seen in Christopher Nolan's Interstellar, alongside Oscar winners Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway.
She plays Murph, the wise-beyond-her-years, science geek daughter of astronaut-turned-farmer Cooper (McConaughey).
Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain plays the grown-up Murph. Foy worked closely with her before filming to help create the character's nuances.
"Little things that we do with our hands, facial expressions... the pencil behind the ear and always having a messy bun," she told Vanity Fair.
SCENE STEALER
Foy's scenes set the emotional tone in Interstellar and her performance has been praised all round.
Co-star Michael Caine called her a "star in the making", and Huffington Post said Foy is one of the best things in the film, adding "she's a revelation, and while not as highly touted as Chastain, McConaughey and Hathaway, it's Foy who gives the film's best performance".
SEEING STARS
Working alongside Hollywood giants is a walk in the park for the ingenue.
Describing her Oscar-calibre co-stars as "just people", she told W Magazine that working with McConaughey was "amazing". "By watching him I learnt how to be more loose," said Foy.
Foy also received advice from Hathaway about finding fame while young. She told Vanity Fair: "Anne told me not to judge myself so hard when I see movies, and to see it as myself progressing."
BIG DREAMS
The former child model for Polo Ralph Lauren, Guess and Gap, has set her sights on being a director, thanks to Twilight director Bill Condon inspiring her to go behind the camera.
Working for Nolan cemented her passion, and she told W that she's planning "to go to film college to learn about how everything works".
