Not like the real deal but for $10 it’s entirely sufficient

Not like the real deal but for $10 it’s entirely sufficient
If you need caviar in a pinch this is fine but don’t expect it to be anything like expensive ossetra. It’s much saltier, fishier, and firmer, quality caviar is more like a subtle breeze of ocean with a yielding texture. And it leaves dye behind because…well, it’s dyed. But this will do in a pinch on a chip with a dollop of sour cream, or is good for garnishing, especially around people who may not eat it anyway. Entirely sufficient for a super cheap price. If you have time but are on a budget, go to Whole Foods and grab the golden whitefish caviar. It’s about $15, not full of dye, less salty, and more delicate texture. You can also buy it here on Amazon, but it is refrigerated.

Romanoff Caviar Black Lumpfish is a high-quality caviar that is made from the roe of lumpfish, a small fish that is found in the Arctic Ocean. The caviar is processed and packaged to maintain its high quality and distinct flavor. The dainty eggs are black in color and have a firm, slightly salty taste. They are a good source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids.

Romanoff Caviar Black Lumpfish can be enjoyed on its own as a snack or appetizer, or it can be used as an ingredient in a variety of dishes, such as sushi, blinis, and omelets. It is also a popular garnish for cocktails and other drinks.

I would highly recommend Romanoff Caviar Black Lumpfish to anyone who enjoys caviar. It is a high-quality product that is sure to please.

Here are some of the pros and cons of Romanoff Caviar Black Lumpfish:

Pros:

High-quality caviar
Made from the roe of lumpfish
Firm, slightly salty taste
Good source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids
Can be enjoyed on its own or used in a variety of dishes

Cons:

Can be expensive
Not as delicate as some other types of caviar

Overall, I would give Romanoff Caviar Black Lumpfish a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. It is a high-quality product that is sure to please anyone who enjoys caviar.

I am a keen consumer of caviar. We get it at Costco who sometimes have a special price on Plaza Osetra caviar which is our favorite and costs $160 for 6 ounces.

In a moment of weakness, for which I will never forgive myself, I got this ‘caviar’ as part of an Amazon fresh order (note to self: never place an order after drinking two martinis).

When this caviar arrived I removed it from its box, unscrewed the lid and dove in with my trusty mother of pearl spoon. It lasted 2 seconds in my mouth before I spat it out. I have never tasted anything so disgusting and so salty in my life. This is definitely not caviar, not even of any kind. It’s black salt.

So my advice to everyone out there is do not, under any circumstances, buy this black salt garbage.

If you told me when I was a kid I'd be writing a review for caviar, I'd call you insane. Anyway, from the times that I've had caviar options at parties I'd usually gravitate towards the salmon caviar. Salmon caviar, imo, is a milder more flavorful experience. This is not. This is VERY salty, at one point I thought it was dyed with squid ink because it was so salty(it's not, though it probably should have been considering the price). In comparison to salmon caviar, you can't put this on a cracker by itself. Instead you wanna put 1/16 of a tsp of this stuff on a cracker paired with a tsp of cream cheese/diced dill pickles or plain sour cream to get that mild flavorful experience. Some people like eating teaspoons of salt, and to those people you can put this on a cracker by itself. For $8 it's a decent price, considering you're only eating 1/16 of a teaspoon at a time. I would definitely recommend a different brand/fish if this is someone's first time trying caviar, since you're not gonna know how to balance the flavor profile.

Is it as good as sturgeon? I don't know... do I want to pay $150 to find out? No, because I use this on my sandwiches and not special dinners and like the texture and taste.

We have caviar during the holidays and wanted to try this brand. it is quite salty and may have been old stock as the row was not full and plump. Probably will not but again as we can get better quality locally for less money.
