Not for heavy thick weeds.
This is a nice little trimmer for small trim up jobs around the house. It does a pretty good job in that. It does get stuck in the thicker grass and I've had several times that the blades locked up with dirt, rocks, or grass. It's sometimes difficult to get it unstuck, but I've been able to do it. I plan to take it to trim up around gravestones that I look after. I haven't tried the hedge trimmer yet, but I figure it will work the same way as the grass trimmer. Battery usage seems to be good and ease of use is great. Sticking up is the only issue I've had so far.

This product is perfect for shaping small landscaping shrubs. It is handy and agile and has no cord.
The product comes with integrated lithium ion batteries in the powerhead, a short and a longer cutting attachments, and a charging cord. A power block is not included. The product charged without incident in a couple of hours.
The clipper attachments snap onto the bottom of the powerhead and are released by simultaneously pressing two orange buttons on opposite sides of the attachment. It was easy to change attachments and does not require undo strength, meaning my spouse will be able to use this product without assistance (yea!).
The attachments have a metal cam with four teeth (see photo) that sits inside of a moving cam with four depressions on the powerhead (see photo) to transfer power from the head to the attachment. The cam on the powerhead is not made of metal but is a polymer casting. I have some doubts on the robustness of this design, considering if the plastic cam cracks it is game over for this tool. However, it works fine at this point.
There are two safety interlocks built into this product. The first is a switch on the upper side of the handle that must be moved before the separate trigger will power the product. The second is a small plug that must be inserted at the bottom of the handle (see photo). If the plug is not inserted into its socket on the tool, the tool will not operate. I think this is a great feature if you have small children and value their tiny fingers. Just remember to unplug the interlock whenever you set the tool down.
In closing, this is the perfect size for trimming and shaping small bushes. I am glad I ordered it.

My husband is so happy with this hedge trimmer and I am too!
This trimmer is cordless, light weight, and compact for easy storage and charging. This trimmer weighs less than two pounds. We are trying to use less gasoline and this item will help a lot.
This trimmer is a good choice for large or small gardens, hedge trimming and areas where our large tools can't reach. This bush trimmer is very easy to use.
My husband and I both agree that this is a five star item!
