So I've been using a Vox wah for close to 40 years now. I like the Vox wah a lot as it has a vintage, classic rock vibe that never gets too nasally or too trebly and doesn't get in the way of my playing. But I must say I like this Dunlop wah even more!!! It's just like the Vox wah but more expressive. You get more treble bite and more lower frequencies too. Compared to the Vox (I AB'd them the other day), the Dunlop just has a wider, more dramatic sweep and has more of a "cry baby wah" sound......more "wa wa". Both are great wah pedals. I bought the Dunlop because I got tired of setting up the Vox at the rehearsal room and having to lug it around back home, for gigs. I wanted a complete rig that I could just keep in the band room, so I'd only have to bring a guitar to practice....no pedals to set up. So I when I decided to get another wah pedal, I thought I'd give the Dunlop a try, then compare the two pedals, and whichever one sounded better would stay in my gig bag for gigging out, and the other one would stay in the band rehearsal room. The Vox is in the rehearsal room, and the Dunlop gets the gig action. Love it!

in one way, and it sounds awesome. If you want to vary the wah, get one with extra controls like a Q switch. Great for a first or only wah, but power users might find it a little bare bones. Wah is an awesome effect, and this one has a pleasing sweep, if not a bit limited.

I like that is very easy to use, the weight is good so it won't be moving around when using it plus the rubber parts below makes that it won't move while using it, the only thing I see that is not that good is that squeaks but just added some mechanic part lubricant (oil for sewing machine) and the squeaks went away, while opening it searching for the squeak cause found that you can tune it so it can have a closed sound or open it more so it can be a higher or open sound.
