I was quite wrong about that. I thought having a pneumatic caulking gun meant you'd have no control and would waste most of your high viscosity liquid nails...wrong again. In fact, I think this is the most wrong I've been about a tool in a long time. I hooked this gun to my small pancake compressor, turned it down to 60 psi, loaded up a 10oz tube of Liquid Nails, clipped the tiniest tip of the nozzle and laid a perfect 8' long 1/16 inch bead so cleanly there was no need to touch it afterwards. My hands would still be claws if I attempted that with a manual gun.

Effortless, efficient, clean and wholly impressive. It took a job I usually dread and turned it into nothing while saving me about 90% of the normal time and 99% of the normal effort. It's a crime that I didn't buy this thing sooner.

Pneumatic caulk applicator worked surprising well! I am rebuilding my very large wraparound deck using both existing structural material and new pressure treated lumber. As two previous decks failed due to poor quality material, shoddy workmanship, and failure to properly seal out moisture, I wanted to build a deck that outlives me, meaning taking every measure, no matter how expensive or extreme several general contractors thought I was taking this project. Part of sealing out moisture meant quite literally pumping out copious amounts of construction sealant over extended board lengths, joints, and ends using a caulk gun. That's a LOT of pumping work with a caulk gun, particularly for a guy with tired old, arthritic hands!

As I have worked in the construction industry for over forty years, I knew that pumping three cases of construction sealant manually was not going to work out very well for me, if at all. Then, while visiting a friend who just happened to be rebuilding his deck, I saw this pneumatic applicator in his work area. He swore by its unexpectedly power saving, time saving performance. Problem solved for me in that that was one less physically challenging thing I needed to worry about with my own project.

My Belaroko pneumatic caulk gun has outperformed my expectations! The only reason I gave it four stars vice five is because the metal tube that secures the caulk container moved around -- sliding back and forth and rolling freely -- within the handle. Also, the metal tube is only secured to the trigger handle by cheap, thin plastic that had broken. Being Mr. Fix-It around here, I just resorted to Gorilla Glue and wrapping the tube to the handle with wire. Not too pretty, but problem solved.

This product should've been available on the market forty years ago!

I bought this to fill long cracks of a quarter inch plus-minus in my concrete driveway. It worked pretty much as advertised and made it much easier to control the placement of the caulk/filler without repeatedly squeezing the handle. The flow is independently set from the trigger and I would have preferred having the flow rate controlled by the trigger. But I don't do a lot of caulking so for my purposes this device worked out very good. If I expected to do a large amount of caulking/filling work I would get one where the feed flow was controlled by the trigger. But for my purposes the benefit/cost of this device was just right.
