42 pages. with 7 woodcut capitals, paper browned and poorly sewn in when bound, this copy still in the cream vellum, printed on hand-made paper with a watermark device and initial MC in the paper. There are some margin annotations in Italian, contemporary with the age of the book. stitched binding, watermarks and age spotting, a name crossed out facing the title page "Antonino M Proveniale". (Who may have written this treaty as the name is prefixed "del", so editor?). There has been a repair on the top corner of title page, no loss of text, a fair to good copy of this scarce Papal Treaty. There is an oval cachet rubber stamp for the Biblioteca di G. Salomone, Nicosia on page 3 and at the end of the book, small slim 4to. 1741 NOTE* The Concordat was stipulated between the King of Naples Charles of Bourbon and Pope Benedict XIV " to end the disputes and controversies which for several centuries in the Kingdom of Naples have been on various heads between the secular and ecclesiastical Curias and thereby to avoid any occasion of discord between the two powers ".
