【Vintage rare】Shiro Kuramata Flower Vase #01 Violet

About the Item

This item is a vintage item. This flower vase was designed by Shiro Kuramata in 1989. The purple aluminum tubes trapped inside the block have had the paint peeled off over time, and are truly stunning, like the wabi-sabi of Japanese culture. It further accentuates the ambiguous boundaries. Wabi" refers to the feeling that something modest and simple is tasteful. On the other hand, "sabi" refers to the beauty that appears with the passage of time. The item is still sold today, but the old factory (closed) used a different method of production, and the old one has more presence. The glass test tubes are removable for easy care.
