Ronan Keating got some fresh ink with his son Jack earlier this week.

Now he has given a closer view at his tats as he explained the very sentimental meanings behind them.

First up he shared a glimpse of the large bird tattoo across his shoulder.

“Incredibly proud to wear the beautiful Bird of Paradise from #papuanewguinea Storm’s family heritage and connection with the tribes is incredible. I wear it with pride,” he wrote.

He also paid tribute to his youngest two children – Cooper and Coco.

He showcased their artistic skills with Cooper’s drawing of cartoon character, Bluey as well as little Coco’s sun.

How cute.

“Cooper then decided to freehand Bluey so Coco drew a Sun. My world,” he wrote.

Jack and Ronan shared a bonding day from the comfort of Ronan’s home where they got tattoos.

If you’re gasping and thinking he did it himself, don’t worry, he brought the pros in to get the job done.

It was obvious from the intricate detail in the tattoo that the ink took hours to complete, so it was just as well Jack had his dad there to chat with, keeping him occupied for the duration.

This isn’t Jack’s first tattoo by any stretch of the imagination, some of his previously added art includes a bird-shaped wing on his right arm and the phrase What Is Meant For You Won’t Pass You By across his chest.

Jack hasn’t revealed the meaning or if there even is a meaning behind his new ink but it appears to depict a number of Japanese elements including cherry blossoms and a large dragon.

The central design involves an inverted triangle with a mountainous landscape visible inside.
