Thanks to Jimi Hendrix (and others, but let's be honest...), the Vox Wah has been one of the most widely-used and instantly-recognizable sounds on any pedalboard. Based on the specs of the original Vox Wah from the 1960s, the V847 has faithfully transmitted the legendary sound to the present day. Through careful experimentation, the traditional Vox wah has evolved into the V847-C: a vintage-voiced wah pedal with modern refinements, carefully Made in Japan.
While carrying on the tradition of Vox wah pedals, the V847-C's numerous customizations make it the perfect modern Vox wah. The frequency range of the wah (frequencies in which the wah can be varied) are set lower than previous models. The overall gain is boosted, and the Q-value (the sharpness of the wah’s peak) has been adjusted to deliver a powerful sound with a low center of gravity.
The V847-C is a high-quality pedal Made in Japan, and it features traditional Japanese artwork on the underside. True Bypass design means that the signal does not pass through the circuit when the V847-C is switched off, so your signal remains the same when the Wah is not in use.
This 2020 Vox V847-C is gently used and functions 100% as it should. It shows minimal signs of play wear but you can see the outlines left from adhesive velcro on the underside (see photos). It includes its original box and carrying bag, and the previous owner removed the rubber feet so it would fit onto a pedalboard.
