Food was incredible. We had the lasagna and Ceasar salad. So fresh, hot and authentic.
The. Chocolate Expresso Martini was amazing too. Loved the ambiance and the owner was so nice to come up and get to know us. Our service was impeccable too.
Neil was great and would ask for on the next time in!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Knd E.Conway, SC03856Apr 15, 2024
Dined her for an easy date night. Reservations were easy to acquire, and honestly there were quite a bit of openings so a reservation wouldn't have been necessary. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. We did do the bread (which is a cost) and it was delicious. We also had the Caesar salad to share. I will be honest and say it just wasn't our thing. A little too fishy for me. Our waiter noticed, and took it off the bill, which wasn't even needed. So kind!
For entrees we had the braised short rib and the lasagna. The short rib....best ever. I'm not a huge fan of polenta and omg they made me fall in love. Absolutely the best thing on the menu we have tried! The lasagna was good too, but didn't compare to the short rib.
Dessert: Tiramisu was delicious!
Overall, a super nice eatery in Loveland. We would definitely be back! The service alone was worth the price. Parking is also atrocious, but expected for downtown Loveland.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 2731Mar 29, 2024
Let me start by saying any restaurant that is specializing in Italian cuisine that charges for bread served with the meal should rethink their life choices.
Appetizers
Burrata is a solid dish. Anything that has a drizzle of balsamic is a winner in my book. Personally not a fan of arugula but it was good nonetheless.
Drunken Goat never had goat cheese with red sauce but it worked. The bread served with it was pretty damn good.
Entrees
Cacio E Pepe was by far my favorite dish. I love this anyhow but it was done right and would do it again.
Bucatini Carbonara excellent and another favorite classic Italian dish of mine. The sauce was great and the pancetta had perfect cuts and had an excellent sear.
Spaghetti Vongole actually one of the better dishes on the table. Regardless if you love seafood or not, the shrimp and clams were for sure very fresh and didn't have that fishy taste at all
Bolognese showed promise and looked like a solid dish. Personally one of my all time favorites. Sauce was burnt. Pretty huge let down but it was handled properly and other dishes were offered free of charge. Probably my punishment for eating meat on Friday during lent haha.
Overall a good place to eat. Maybe a little too modern for my liking when it comes to Italian food and my grandfather probably would've screwed his hat into the ceiling with being charged for bread but I would go backHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jan 21, 2024Updated review
There were four of us dining this time and the noise level seemed to be much better! We arrived for our Friday night reservation and were seated immediately. Our server, Tabitha, was wonderful and attentive. We tried more of the dishes that we didn't try the first time around, and had two bottles of the lovely Pieropan Soave. We were served a lovely amuse bouche to start that was some mild blue cheese rice upon a crisp with fresh herbs. Nice touch. Here is what we thought:
Burrata Tartufata - Beautiful, generous portion of creamy burrata with a fresh arugula, cherry tomato, and olive oil and balsamic accompaniment. Very classic Italian.
Tortino - a souffle of mushroom with melted cheese. This was unexpectedly delicious and unique. It was so good that I will try to recreate it at home!
Spaghetti Vongole - spaghetti with clams and shrimp. It was cooked perfectly, however there was not enough shrimp and lacked sauce and some flavor. Still enjoyable.
Gnocchi - very authentic potato gnocchi that just needed a little seasoning and more sauce. Not our favorite, but our guests liked it.
Amatriciana - we are not a fan of bucatini pasta, so we requested spaghetti. For a simple preparation, this dish was the best pasta dish we had all night.
Both of our beef dishes were fantastic:
Ten Hour Short Rib - we would order over and over! The short rib was seasoned and cooked to perfection. It was meaty, not fatty, and a nice portion.
Ribeye Special - bone in, perfectly cooked and seasoned steak. The mashed potatoes were also yummy, and the broccolini, which is usually not our favorite, had a light dressing of some kind that brightened it and changed my mind about broccolini.
The creme brulee was just okay. The creme was good, it just tasted like the torch gas a little on top.
Rodi had is it going on for sure. So glad we can eat wonderful Italian without having to go all the way downtown.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Jul 17, 2023Previous reviewI would like to give Rodi 5 stars because the food is great, but it just fell short for two reasons; the noise level is beyond loud, and the use of plastic to-go containers. I'm all for high energy in a place, but when you have to yell at your companions to be heard, well, that is ridiculous and easily solved with some tweaks to the walls and ceilings. And I just wish every restaurant in the city got the memo about plastic and the environment, and use cardboard/paper containers.
Our server Roen (Roe G on the receipt) was lovely. The placed was packed due to an unexpected party of 25, and he did a nice job of being attentive to us. He brought us a sample of wine to taste, which was a nice touch. We ordered a bottle of the Soave. The hostess was lovely as well.
As I stated, the food is very good. We started with the Clams and Arancini. I can't say I would order the clams again because clams, unlike mussels, are very chewy. The broth was excellent and dipping the bread in it was the thing to do. The Arancini was a large portion of three balls fried perfectly. The tomato sauce was tasty. We just wanted more of it. For our mains we had the Lasagna and the Pollo Milanese. We usually order a little fancier pasta than lasagna when eat Italian, but I asked Roen what was the most popular, and he suggested the lasagna. It was YUM! The serving size is larger (but needs a garnish of fresh basil), so it's easy to share. The chicken Milanese was presented beautifully. The chicken was tender with a good crunch from the breading, and the vegetables underneath made it a well-rounded dish. It is also large enough to share. We took home a piece of Tiramisu that was divinely light and delicious. The next day we had leftovers for lunch and everything was still wonderful. We would like to try more menu items, but would choose to sit outside for a less noisy experience. - Andy P.Cincinnati, OH052Apr 22, 2024
What a fantastic night at Rodi! Grace our server was excellent from the start. She helped us pick out a bottle of wine and made superb recommendations for dinner. Her presence throughout our dining experience was perfect. My Fiancée and I enjoyed a complementary dish from kitchen that was so delicious. After we enjoyed the Drunken Goat appetizer and shared a margarita pizza. We were still a little hungry so she decided to order the Cacio E Pepe and I ordered the Garganelli Tartufati. Both came out hot and fresh. We agree that the pasta was some of the best we've ever had. All in all a perfect experience for celebrating an intimate moment with my Fiancée and couldn't have picked a better place to enjoy it at. Will definitely be returning in the future!

Heard so much about this place from so many people. I finally made it and they do have an enticing looking menu which I'll have to return to try ALL the things.
What I was really surprised by was their starter bread. They had a GF brad and this was THE best GF starter bread I have had at any restaurant so far. This thing looked like fluffy pita bread. It was AMAZING!
Our server was exceptional. Very attentive and helpful upon ordering our food. Asked at the get go if anyone had any allergies so he could make a note of it when taking orders.
I ordered the Finocchiona Salad which was not only beautiful but so delicious. Unfortunately, the Bolognese, although I could get GF, was not DF. So I settled on my second choice which was the Short Rib, which did NOT disappoint. The rib meat was melting in my mouth.
I loved my whole experience, however, I will probably request to not sit next to the bathroom. Unfortunately, the "bathroom cleanser" scent kept wafting towards our table and made for an unpleasant nose experience. Also, I like the ambiance of the place, but if you go with a group, conversation is hard to catch because the high ceilings and the noise bouncing.
Again, none of these things will deter me from going back because the food and especially that GF bread were amazingly yummo!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Doug S.Loveland, OH014May 3, 2024Updated review
Great hidden treasure in Loveland. Food is excellent due to a very talented chef who is always working on new entrees. Staff is great and place is always hopping. Great outdoor patio during summer.

My friend and I came here for dinner on a Thursday evening and we had such a good meal. It was my first time here and I knew I always wanted to come here because this seems to be the only restaurant in Cincinnati that I can find on Yelp that does legit carbonara. Unfortunately carbonara is currently not on their menu but I'm sure it'll come back during a different season.
Anywho I do recommend getting a reservation here because it seems as though they are pretty busy and I can see why. So we ordered the fried calamari for our starter and it was so good. You can tell that the calamari was top-notch fresh. When it's chewy, you know that stuff is frozen and old. The calamari here is a high ingredient for sure. Also the dipping sauce was amazing. We also ordered a side of sprouts and that was amazing. They roasted these perfectly and were very generous on the parmesan.
I ordered the garganelli tartufati which is pasta with truffle pate and cream. I definitely wanted to try this because I do love truffle and really wanted to try something different. This was amazing. I ate the entire thing. It was very rich but not overpowering where I couldn't complete the dish. The pasta was cooked perfect and the creaminess of the truffle pate had such good smooth texture. My friend ordered the bolognese and that pasta was also cooked perfectly and the flavor of the Bolognese sauce was really good.
Lastly for dessert we ordered the sorpresa which was a chocolate cake topped with vanilla gelato covered in a chocolate dome. And the waiter comes and pours hot caramel sauce on the dome so it can melt. It is quite a show and not only the show, it was really delicious. Super rich, it was a nice way to end the dinner. Overall such a good dining experience, I'd come back here!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Dec 7, 2023
My husband & I dined at Rodi on a date night where we had to have three different courses from three different places. Rodi was our second stop for entrees & it was so hard not to have dessert here too! My husband enjoyed a glass of Cabernet while I had Moscato, & both were very good. He was going to order the lasagna, but they had run out & he decided to go with the bolognese, made with rigatoni, tomato, & beef ragu. The flavors were savory & delicious, a perfect meal for a chilly night. I had the sweet potato gnocchi, made with brown butter-sage, grana padano, & pea tendrils. When I tell you this was the most pillowy gnocchi I've ever had - my goodness. Absolutely phenomenal. The flavors went so well together. The service was also very nice & the ambiance was perfect for our date night. We will definitely be back for a full meal!

We came by with a large party (including 4 kids) and the service was great. We appreciate how our waiter expedited the kids' food since they were hungry.
Food was great - I had the Porchetta and it was delicious! We also shared a chopped salad which was tasty. We'll definitely be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
