Q:
I'm going to be in the area this coming Saturday and I need a place to watch osu vs Wisconsin. So what's the tv situation like here? How many? How big? Will I get volume? Or should I find a bw3's somewhere? Thanks in advance
A:
Bunkers will be a good place to view the game - plenty of screens around the dinning area, volume is not too loud and discernible, great selection of craft beer on tap, the food is delicous and reasonably priced. Fans are respectful and friendly… more

i stopped in at Bunkers on a whim last week, basically to see what the place was like: food, service, and atmosphere. I arrived at the end of the lunch rush on a Thursday, maybe 1:15 or so.
i was greeted virtually immediately and after i asked for booth or table for one, was asked if it was ok to wait a couple minutes until a booth could be bussed. No problem at all; it was nice to be asked, rather than told.
i ordered a bacon cheeseburger with chips & non-alcohol beer (O'Douls). I also indicated i would be ordering something to go before I finshed... admittedly lazy, why not let someone else clean their kitchen for supper? Haha...
The burger arrived faster than expected, and was great! On a nice brioche bun, and was exactly how I wanted. For me, a high point was the sharp, thick cut onion. That took me back to a favorite diner growing up, when Burgers always came with a "slice".
My take-out was the 'Grilled Birdie' salad and was likewise superb. The salad itself was fresh snd crispy, and the grilled chicken was done to perfection in a lemon pepper base. My server was also kind enough to ask if i wanted the chicken boxed separately. Oh my, yes. - good-bye wilted salad! Hello, fresh, tasty, crispy supper with a tangy, excellent house cajun ranch dressing!
In short, despite bit of a drive {~20 miles}, I will definitely be back! Very, very good food, wonderful service, and a comfortable setting, what more could you ask for?
Oh, did I mention the price? Extremely priceworthy, my tab was under $27, including two NA 'beers' [I tipped accordingly btw, i.e., the same $$ amount as i would have at my former overpriced 'hangout' - equal to 66%+ tip instead of 22-25%, same $$ ... & worth every penny!!]
Thanks, Bunkers! I'll be back...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Amy B.Dayton, OH02833Feb 20, 2024

A hidden gem. We live south of Dayton but anytime we head to the airport we always plan a trip here. Excellent and friendly service, good food and you cannot beat the prices! We wish there was one in Centerville, lord know we could use a place like this down here.

A solid sports bar. Service was great. Fantastic beer selection. Food was good, but typical sports bar fare. I had a chicken Philly which was tasty. She had the cheese quesadilla which she enjoyed. The restaurant itself is comfortable but a little tired.

Been there many times good food and generally good service too. Only thing is some times it takes a little bit for a server to get to you. Definitely a sports bar atmosphere.

Andrew and I stopped here on a Friday evening after driving into town. We wanted to eat light since we wanted an appetizer and it was somewhat late. We decided to give the Poe Anna a try. It was definitely different! I wish there were a little more drizzle, but Andrew loved it.
Our food came out pretty fast, both appetizer and entrees. Andrew and I both chose salads, which surprised me. Andrew got the Salmon Salad and I got the Chef Salad. Andrew said the salmon was amazing and he is very picky on his salmon. He rarely likes his when we go out to eat.
Overall, we had a nice experience! If you're looking for a local late night grub, this is your place to go.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lisa L.OH, OH01Feb 21, 2024

Title: A Must-Visit for Beer and Wing Lovers - 5/5 Stars
Bunkers Sports Bar and Grill is a gem that I initially discovered due to their renowned chicken wings. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find an impressive selection of over 40 beers on tap, a mix of rotating and permanent options, which adds to the allure of this bustling spot.
The constant crowd at Bunkers is a testament to its quality. It's a place that's always buzzing, which, in my book, is a sure sign of a good establishment.
Beyond the wings, I've tried a variety of dishes from their menu, and I've yet to be disappointed. The portions are generous, and the prices offer excellent value for money, making it a great spot for a hearty meal that won't break the bank.
Service at Bunkers is typically swift, although there have been instances when things slowed down due to the place being packed. However, this is completely understandable given its popularity.
The staff is generally friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall positive experience. While there have been a few servers who seemed to be just going through the motions, the majority have been genuinely welcoming.
In conclusion, Bunkers Sports Bar and Grill gets a solid 5 out of 5 stars from me. It's a place I highly recommend for its fantastic beer selection, delicious food, and overall great value.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 8, 2022

This is what everyone in this area wishes their local bar to be like - clean with really good food, fair prices, friendly staff, and did I mention clean? (I'm looking at you, Hinders.)
"Upbeat haunt offering American pub grub, lots of draft beer & spots on tv, plus weekend breakfast"
This pretty much sums it up - but allow me to elaborate a bit.
The first thing you're going to notice is this place is busy.
The parking lot is substantial - with parking on 3 of 4 sides, plus some street parking off the west side of the building - but this is not enough parking.
*good luck with parking means "if you can't find a parking space, there probably aren't any available tables inside, either but it's worth some patience on both fronts"
42 beers on tap. Yes. 42 beers available.
You will appreciate this more than just about anything else about this spot.
A nice assortment of local beers also available in the list - which is a nice touch.
Whether you are choosing your food from the paper menu in person or on the online menu on the website, it's the same structure with perhaps too many options.
I choose to just chalk it up to "something for everyone" and pour through for my usual list of suspects.
Starters include (expertly well) fried items like potato skins, poppers, onion rings, fries, or cheese sticks to more unique things like fried green beans or southwest egg rolls.
Soups and Salads have 9 choices with nearly that many salad dressings to choose from but truth be told, I will likely never order from this category unless I bend for chili.
(A personal weakness)
The options are seemingly endless.
3 styles of Quesadillas, 6 burger options (cooked pink or no-pink), 11 different sandwiches, 5 Philly sandwich choices and there are 3 types of chicken (wings, chunks, strips); two pizza sizes (8" or 12") and two pizza styles (traditional or flatbread) which makes the single household specialty stand out a bit: fish & chips.
The best meal I have ever had was a simple "Bunker Burger" with cheese (no pink) - the bun was steamed and just a little shiny from being close to the grill; the burger was perfectly cooked with a snap of a char and the cheese was melted "just so" and I declared it the best burger I've ever had.
Truthfully, it reminded me of my favorite diner cheeseburger when I was a kid. Perfection.
Everything else I have tried so far has been quite good.
Favorites so far? Onion rings, chicken wings, pizza are just behind the cheeseburger, tied for the #2 spot (so far).
I will venture through the remaining Philly and sandwich menu - revisiting that lovely cheeseburger every 3rd visit (or so).
Great spot!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0
