I wrote this song about my dad. He's been drinking for so long that I've never had the opportunity to know who he is. He is killing himself and when others try to help, he pulls them down with him. Unfortunately, in these cases, it's important to step-away and not become a victim of their sickness. I used this song to release all the anger and frustration he caused me through my childhood, so that today, I can stand here and wish him nothing but the best. Until he gets clean, I cannot be a part of his life.
