NEW! – Move over, Liriope! Feather Falls Sedge is in town. Customers have been clamoring for it, and we’re thrilled to offer it. Carex Feather Falls™ gets rave reviews for bright foliage, strong growth, and heat and sun tolerance. Glossy, green leaves with vivid white margins arch outward from a dense, full crown. It’s a quick finish in container production—a retail-ready gallon in eight weeks from a 72. A clumper rather than a spreader, mature plants in the landscape can easily reach three feet wide or more. And it looks fantastic in a container. Early reports suggest this sedge may be hardy up to Zone 5 and can take full sun. However, until we have full confirmation and more experience, we’ll keep it at Zone 6 and part sun.

GROWER INFO & TIPS
- Growth rate: medium
- Grow in 1- or 2-gallon containers
- Grow in well-drained soil; good drainage is important
- Water needs: keep evenly moist; may be moist-dry but not bone dry
- Fertilizing: use a slow release, low-to-medium rate fertilizer; sensitive to over fertilization
- Possible pests: aphids, Bactra venosa caterpillar; anthracnose; fungus gnat larvae; Rhizoctonia is possible
- Overwintering: cold frame with clear poly; keep dry
- Good air circulation and spacing will reduce fungal problems
