Hollywood actress Monica Bellucci visited Thessaloniki, Greece to attend the 64th Thessaloniki Film Festival. During her visit, her Greek fans were completely enchanted. The actress walked around the city, admiring Thessaloniki’s beauty and expressing her love for Greece.

The Italian actress arrived on Wednesday, November 8th to visit the city and screenings of two films in which she starred, Maria Callas: Letters and Memories and Malena.

Bellucci Enjoying Thessaloniki

On Thursday, Bellucci dined at a renowned restaurant in the city center, where she joined Thessaloniki Mayor Konstantinos Zervas and various film festival participants for a delightful lunch. The meal included fresh Greek seafood and local wine.

Zervas emphasized Bellucci’s affable nature, highlighting her sociable and pleasant demeanor during their interaction. He also added that Bellucci liked Thessaloniki and promised to come again.

During her stay, Bellucci resided at a central five-star hotel, enjoying the picturesque sea-view of Thermaikos Gulf from her top-floor room. Her morning routine included a simple breakfast comprised of croissants, honey, and a cake, local media reported. The star warmly greeted her fans outside the hotel by taking photos with them.

Bellucci took part in a press conference held at Port Warehouse No. 1 of Thessaloniki, where she was surrounded by attention and greeted her admirers. Shortly before the beginning, Bellucci took off her black sunglasses that protected her from the sunny weather in Thessaloniki and blew a kiss to the cameras.

During the press conference, the actress noted her great honor and gratitude for playing the role of Maria Callas. She emphasized the significance of public acceptance for her role, since Callas was Greek. Bellucci also noted that both films shown at the festival tell the story of women trying to survive in a man’s world.

Appearance at the 64th Thessaloniki Film Festival

On Wednesday night, Bellucci made a stunning appearance on the red carpet at the 64th Thessaloniki Film Festival. The actress arrived at the screening of the film “Maria Callas: Letters and Memoirs” by directors Tom Wolfe and Yannis Dimolitsas.

Near the entrance to the Olympion cinema, the star was greeted by a crowd of fans chanting her name. They also held banners and photographs of the beloved actress.

Bellucci appeared in an elegant suit in total black style, expressing gratitude for the warm welcome to the residents of the city. She smiled, blew kisses, and signed a few autographs. “I have Greece deep in my heart,” the actress shared with the audience.

Tonight, Thursday November 9th, Bellucci is attending the screening of Giuseppe Tornatore’s film ‘Malena’, thanks to which she became well-known in the world. Moreover, she will receive the Golden Alexander award for her overall contribution to cinema.
