sera siporax Nitrat-minus Professional is a high-performance filter medium for the biological decomposition of nitrate and, at the same time, nitrite and ammonium. Thanks to the biopolymer ball adapted to the siporax ring, denitrification is optimally increased and maximized. The degradable biopolymer serves as a carbon source for denitrifying bacteria.
The biopolymer ball maximizes the biological filtering capacity of the unique sintered glass tube while increasing filter cleaning intervals in two ways. In addition to the decomposition of harmful substances, the special structure of the ball optimizes the flow of water and thus improves the transport of substances to the siporax ring inside. Thus, sera siporax Nitrat-minus Professional is a filter medium that requires virtually no care and, above all, is durable. You can also reduce the number of water changes. Especially in large community aquariums and/or cichlid aquariums with a large number of fish, the water values can be improved with siporax Nitrat-minus Professional.
sera siporax Nitrat-minus Professional can be combined with the available siporax products, such as siporax Professional, siporax mini Professional and siporax pond Professional, and increases the breakdown of harmful substances by adding carbon.
The biopolymer balls, over time, are degraded by bacteria and dissolve. To renew the carbon source, they can simply be replaced.
Note: In plant-only aquariums or with many plants and therefore high nitrogen requirements, this filter medium may require additional fertilizer with NPK (e.g. sera flore 4 plant).
