F1 | Ferrari pays homage to Gilles Villeneuve on the anniversary of his death
The Canadian left us on 8 May 1982 following the serious accident in the official tests at Zolder
Ferrari wanted to remember Gilles Villeneuve whose death today, 8 May, occurred following the tragic accident with the March driven by his former McLaren teammate Jochen Mass which saw him as the protagonist in the Saturday qualifying session in Zolder. Track that hosted the 1982 edition of the Belgian Grand Prix.

Villeneuve, despite a short career where he only achieved 6 victories, 2 pole positions and 13 podiums, remained in the hearts of enthusiasts - especially Ferrari fans - for his admirable feats performed on the track, almost always going beyond the limit. Drivers with the Canadian's temperament are sorely missed in modern Formula One.
