Zach Galifianakis wants to shoot 'Hangover' sequel in Moscow

Image Credit: Frank Masi When EW sat down this afternoon with Hangover star Zach Galifianakis, who’s hard at work plugging his new movie It’s Kind of a Funny Story at the Toronto Film Festival, we couldn’t help but ask about the top secret location of the upcoming sequel to his megahit Sin City-set comedy. Galifianakis won’t say which spots the filmmakers are considering (“It keeps changing, actually,” he says), but he was happy to dish on his own dream location.

“I think Russia would be amazing,” he says. “The first Hangover worked because it was Vegas, but it was the dirty side of Vegas, not the glitzy one. You’ve got to put the characters against danger. So they could get involved in organized crime in Moscow, which I think is incredibly scary.”

Before you start picturing Phil, Stu, and Alan in fur hats, Galifianakis has one last hint to drop: “Where it is going to take place is beautiful,” he says. “They probably will show the dirty part of the beauty. I think that’s the goal.”

What do you think of Galifianakis’ idea, PopWatchers? And where would you set the movie if you had the choice?
