Covered paths, arched bridges and local squares, chestnuts, cherries and walnuts of hundreds of years, streams and waterfalls, traditional Byzantine churches, flowering hydrangea gardens and traditionally built homes following local architecture. Pelion has plenty to offer to the demanding traveler looking for an ideal resting place.

The scenic alleys of Tsagarada are ideal for your walk, while giving you the opportunity to admire the traditional Pelion architecture and the magic of nature. The sights of the village involve the old churches, but also the eternal evergreens with the huge trunks that are found in the courtyard of Agia Paraskevi and the church of the Holy Taxiarches. Finally, it is worth visiting the “hidden school”
and the chapel of Panagia of Megalomata, located on a rock.

One of the oldest ski resorts in Greece, the Ski Center of Pelion is the only ski resort in the world that is so close to the sea. You can also ride, climb, kayak canoe, (by appointment).

1. «Agnadi cafe» (owned by us) open from 9:00 am until late at night:
   It is in a great location on the main road, with a stunning view at the center of Tsagarada. Special dishes, a
   variety of snacks, homemade sweets, as well as ice cream, waffles, crepes, beers, drinks, cocktails.
   Tips: Do not forget to mention while you are being hosted as the cafe is ours and you will be treated especially
   here as well! On the opposite side of the road, you can find the tavern “Aleka”, where you can enjoy delicious
   traditional meals.
2. Tsagkarada’s Squares:
   • Saint Paraskevi square and the old 1000+ year-old Plane tree:
     The Plane Tree of Tsagkarada is one of the oldest trees in Greece, and maybe even Europe. Its age, according
     to foresters, amounts to 1000+ years and exists at the central square of Tsagkarada, Saint Paraskevi square. On
     that square, you will meet a special café/restaurant named “the Lost Unicorn”.
   • Saint Brigades Square:
     4km away from Saint Paraskevi square, you will meet the 2 nd largest square, that of Saint Brigades. The temple
     there is dated back in 1746 and is among the oldest temples of Pelion. In the area you can find café, fast food,
     restaurants, taverns, butchery, market, souvenir shops etc.
   • Saint Stefanos Square:
     A small square with a very little traditional characteristic chapel. There you can find whatever special and
     weird stuff you may need in the shop “Kipouremata” and a pizzeria.
   • Saint Kiriaki Square:
     The southest square of the village with the Holy Temple being active only during the summer.
3. Old arched bridge:
   The stone-built one-arched bridge of Tsagarada is at the beginning of the village and from there begins the
   gorge of Mylopotamos. It is the oldest and most well-known bridge of Pelion, with a characteristic arched arch.
   Access to this is very easy. From the main road you will find a sign that says “old bridge”. A downhill path
   between the chestnuts leads you in a few minutes to an amazing place in the woods with the plane trees.

    

   Here, you will find benches to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the rusting of the leaves and the running water
   from the canyon.

4. Beaches:
   In addition to the dense vegetation that extends from the beginning of the sea to the top of the mountain,
   hospitality and traditional food, Tsagarada is also famous for its wonderful beaches to visit. The beaches of
   Tsagarada are the most picturesque of those in Eastern Pelion.

    

   • Mylopotamos: The blue oasis of Pelion. The best known and most recognized, both within Greece and
     abroad! A picturesque beach, with crystal clear waters drowned in the green. In its length it has sand,
     pebbles and smaller stones and is a real oasis for the lucky ones who will enjoy their dives there. Its
     waters are compared, not unfairly, with mirrors and the beach is informally divided into two smaller
     beaches with a natural stone arch that provides access from one section to another. Guests think they are
     really in an exotic place and is the jewel of Pelion. Its beauty is so famous that it has won blue flags and
     has been photographed by many international magazines and is undoubtedly one of the most famous
     beaches of Greece. We recommend dining in “Aggelika fish taverna”.
   • Fakistra:  What characterizes it is the crystal clear aquamarine waters, fine sand and pebbles. It is a
     small treasure that impresses anyone who is fortunate enough to meet it. The turquoise waters of the
     sandy beach are located in a bay with imposing and steep cliffs that create a unique setting. It may be
     quite isolated and disorganized but that’s what makes it stand out.
   • Damouchari: Accessible from a magical path from the village of Tsagarada, the wild beauty of
     Damouchari seduces visitors with its crystal clear waters and white pebbles. It is the only natural harbor
     on the south side of Pelion. It is a small picturesque and quiet settlement consisting of two small bays that
     are joined by a peninsula on which there are ruins of a castle. The North Bay is still a harbor with taverns
     and houses. The South has a beautiful beach full of white pebbles and crystal clear waters, which in
     combination with the neighboring gorge give Damouhari a wild beauty. Anyone who has seen the
     successful musical “Mamma Mia!”, Probably should have wondered where this wonderful place is. We
     suggest eating in the “Taverna to Karagatsi”.
   • Horefto: The longest beach of Pelion. The beach is a great choice for families with young children. It
     also has several beach bars, taverns, souvenirs, supermarkets, etc.
   • Agios Ioannis: Agios Ioannis is one of the most beautiful beaches in the area, with golden sand, white
     pebbles and crystal clear waters. Close to the homonymous village, Agios Ioannis beach is fully organized,
     where you can enjoy water sports along with your dives.
   • Papa Nero: Within walking distance of Agios Ioannis, the beautiful Papa Nero Beach creates a unique
     setting of golden sand, crystal clear Aegean waters and a lush landscape that gives it an exotic aura. The
     beach is organized with umbrellas and sun loungers, while after your swim, the taverns along the beach
     are ideal for good seafood snacks.
   • Agioi Saranda: A beach of heavenly beauty to the east of Pelion, Agioi Saranta are ideal for diving in
     magnificent turquoise waters and for relaxation in the golden sand and fine white pebbles. At the beach,
     you will meet “Kalogeros”, a big rock from which the most adventurous can dive.
   • Lampinou: A small sandy beach that is developed northeast of the homonymous settlement of
     Tsagarada. On the beach there are rustic tourist infrastructure. Above the beach stands the imposing
     monastery of Panagia Lampidonas.
5.  Religious Tourism:Tsagarada is the only village in the whole area of Pelion that includes 31 churches and country churches.

7. Milies Village and the famous Train:The ascent from the beautiful slopes of Pelion to Milies starts! One of the narrowest railway lines in the world
   (60 centimeters) hosts the 4 wagons of “Moutzouris”, as it was once called the Pelion train, to declare the
   steam and smoke it left behind. From Ano Lechonia to Milies, the route is mountainous, crossing the verdant
   slopes, with the dense vegetation of plane trees. The only stop of the train is for just 15 minutes, in Ano
   Gatzea, to continue “blowing out” and rocking its wagons for a journey of a total length of 15 kilometers and a
