General Radio, Cambridge MA
Model 1432-J Serial number 4292

Precision instrument built like a tank the way things used to be built. Manual switched 4 decade resistance, 1000 ohm, 100 ohm, 10 ohm, 1 ohm. 23 mA to 800 mA maximum current depending on which decades you use. Essentially no wear, just a little dust under the knobs. Very pretty collector piece, or very practical - your choice.

The 1432P is a decade resistor box from General Radio. A decade resistor is a type of electronic test equipment with a series of resistors, inductors, or capacitors to simulate specific electrical values. An engineer can replace standard-value components in a circuit with a decade resistor because of its ability to configure to different values.
