Summary[edit]

Description

The Gazelle was built from 1956-67 and was a version of the mainstream Hillman Minx differing mainly in retaining the Singer overhead cam engine. Externally the only significant difference was a restyled nose based around a traditional Singer grille. There was also a 2 door sporty model, the Sunbeam Rapier and In New Zealand the very basic Humber 80 was available.

The Series III was built from 1958-59. In 1959, it got a facelift, the Series IIIA, with a larger windscreen, tail fins and 'eyebrows' over the headlamps.
