“There really is nothing like getting back to nature. My nature.”

Michael C. Hall is back in Showtime‘s upcoming revival of “Dexter,” a continuation of the original series that will essentially allow Showtime to make up for the show’s original finale.

A short promo teaser has been released by Showtime today, showing an axe stuck into a stump against a snowy backdrop. The clip features voice-over narration from Hall’s Dexter Morgan, indicating a return to his true nature in the coming episodes. The Season 8 finale had left Dexter in this very place, working for a lumber company with a new identity…

Jamie Chung (“Lovecraft Country”) joins Hall in the revival, with the cast also including Clancy BrownJulia JonesAlano Miller, Johnny Sequoyah and Jack Alcott.

“Set 10 years after Dexter Morgan went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, the revival sees the character now living under an assumed name in a world away from Miami.”

Clyde Phillips is back as showrunner for the revival, likely arriving in Fall 2021.

“Dexter” ran for eight seasons between 2006 and 2013.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.

“From” Season 3 Teaser Brings Bone-Chilling First Look at Series’ Return This Fall

Published

MGM+ has delivered an appropriately bone-chilling halfway-to-Halloween treat today in the form of an intense first look teaser at season three of the propulsive horror series “From.”

Look for the 10-episode third season to arrive this Fall on MGM+.

If the below clip is any indication, season 3 is going to be absolutely insane and suspenseful for its characters.

The series tells “of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest – including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down. Season Two explores just how far the residents of this nightmarish place are willing to go to find answers, even as chilling new threats to their safety – and their sanity – begin to emerge.”

The series stars Harold Perrineau (Lost) and an ensemble cast which includes Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full of Grace, The Affair), Eion Bailey (Band of Brothers, Once Upon a Time), Hannah Cheramy (Under Wraps, Van Helsing), Simon Webster (Strays), Ricky He (The Good Doctor), Chloe Van Landschoot (Charity, Skin), Corteon Moore (Utopia Falls), Pegah Ghafoori (The Perfect Wedding), David Alpay (Castle Rock), Elizabeth Saunders (Clarice), Elizabeth MoyAvery Konrad (Honor Society), and Scott McCord (East of Middle West). Joining the ensemble in Season Two were Nathan D. Simmons (Diggstown, This Hour Has 22 Minutes), Kaelen Ohm (Hit & Run, Eumenides Falls), Angela Moore (A Series of Unfortunate Events, Maid), A.J. Simmons (Reacher), and Deborah Grover (My Next Door Nightmare, Jann).

Watch the new teaser below to see Perrineau in a deeply disturbing situation, made even more intense by how much the scene withholds from the camera.

“From” is created and executive produced by John Griffin (Crater), directed and executive produced by Jack Bender (Lost, Game of Thrones, Mr. Mercedes), and executive produced by Showrunner Jeff Pinkner (Fringe, Alias, Lost). Alongside Pinkner, Griffin and Bender, serving as executive producers are Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Scott Rosenberg from Midnight Radio, Anthony and Joe Russo and Mike Larocca from AGBO and Lindsay Dunn. Midnight Radio’s Adrienne Erickson serves as co-executive producer. The series is internationally distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

If you’re not watching “From,” you should. The horror is nonstop, rarely giving its characters a chance to recoup from the onslaught. I wrote in my season two review that the series “hits the ground running, picking up where the inaugural season left off to compound the mysteries, drama, and relentless horror.”

“From” seasons 1 and 2 are available to watch on the MGM+ app, anywhere you access MGM+ and on Prime Video. Catch up ahead of season 3 this Fall.
