The ATR-42 Family Long Term Release v4.5 features new sounds and a slightly more fps-friendly interface. That’s about it and as the hangar is working on the ERJ-170 / -190, the ATR-42 project will be halted here. But we can say that the current release is very stable and you might not need any release soon. In case of bugs, a bug-fix release may come out but that’s about it.

The Boarding music combo contains music-cna and music-merlion which must be placed in data/Aircraft/ATR-42-500/Sounds/Cabin. This is exclusive to Cresder Nixrof and Merlion Pilots.

NOTE –

In case the ATR-42 does not work for you, and it shows an error that ‘music-cna.wav’ or ‘music-merlion.wav’ or both are missing, then you need to remove the tags for these from the ATR-Sounds.xml file. This error might show in FlightGear 2.2.0 / git but not usually in 1.9.1 and 2.0.0

We were just aware that ATR-42 has a reverser where the propellers’ attack angle becomes -10 degrees. We’ve added that (small change) and re-released.

• LTR – Long Term Release (RECOMMENDED if you don’t want to download a lot)
• BFR – Bug Fix Release (DOWNLOAD it if you have problems with the older release)
• MER – Minor Edit Release (DOWNLOAD only if you are crazy about updates)
• MJR – Major Release (DOWNLOAD if you want to have the newest features but it’s very probable to have another release soon)
