RF Analog Signal Generator PXIe-5652 from National Instruments The RF Analog Signal Generator PXIe-5652 by National Instruments (Product Code: 781217-01) is a superior signal creator designed to generate AM, FM, PM, and pulse wave signals consistently. This model is built to supply FM, continuous-wave, 2‑FSK, or OOK modulation and supports a frequency range of 500 kHz - 6.6 GHz. Its frequency resolution fluctuates between <3 Hz to 6 Hz. It's designed with a maximum output power of 12 dBm and an average tuning time of 1.5 ms. This unit can be integrated with other PXI modules to construct automated test systems suitable for radar, RF integrated circuits (RFICs), and automotive test applications. The PXIe‑5652 model offers excellent phase noise and signal jitter packaged in a single 3U PXI slot. Its key features include <2 ms Frequency Sweep Tuning Speed Typical, < 1 ppb Frequency Resolution, and -110 dBc/Hz phase noise at 1 GHz, 10 kHz offset typical. It supports sine, triangle, and square frequency modulation waveform types. Please note, an external modulation source is not supported by this model. The modulation waveform frequency of this Analog Signal Generator can range from 1 Hz to 100 kHz. To get the PXIe-5652 RF Analog Signal Generator up and running, you will need to install an Application Development Environment such as LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI, followed by the NI-RFSG driver software.
