A cold front is crossing through Ohio this afternoon and is likely to generate showers and thunderstorms for the late afternoon and evening. Some storms may create gusty winds or small hail. Most of the rain should be out of the region before sunrise Monday. Stay weather aware, especially in Eastern Ohio, as the storms develop and move across the region.

A warm front drapes itself across the Ohio River Valley on Monday creating unsettled conditions. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be likely across the southern half of Ohio. The morning looks like the driest portion of the day with a better chance of showers and thunderstorms redeveloping in the afternoon and evening.

The warm front lifts toward the I-70 corridor by Tuesday morning and stalls. Unsettled conditions will continue through most of the day. However, another cold front shoves the stationary front out of the way by mid-afternoon and is likely to kick up showers and thunderstorms, some of which may be strong to severe. The Storm Prediction Center puts most of Ohio at a Slight Risk for severe storms Tuesday afternoon and evening.

The biggest threats will be hail and gusty winds. Stay weather aware through the evening and into early Wednesday morning.

As low-pressure slides through the Eastern Great Lakes early Wednesday, scattered showers and thunderstorms taper off in the morning but come back again in the afternoon and evening. The later-day storms are less likely to be strong or severe.

Another low-pressure center moves directly over Ohio on Thursday with (any guesses?) showers and thunderstorms again. Gusty winds are likely on the backside of the system on Friday with scattered showers continuing.

And with low pressure remaining in the region, scattered showers will be possible through the weekend.
